Tribute to William Shakespeare
Curator: Iris Kritikou
“In black ink my love may still shine bright…“: Theatro Odou Kykladon invites you to a tribute to William Shakespeare with this wonderful dark line from his sonnets, 400 years after the poet’s death. The exhibition will be open from November, 2016 to January 2017, in the foyer of the theater.
Installations, small sculptures or paintings, photo prints and embroidered words, coexist in the foyer of the theater, in an attempt to trace love, as Love “is not love/Which alters when it alteration finds/ Or bends with the remover to remove”, Love “is an ever-fixed mark/That looks on tempests and is never shaken/It is the star to every wandering bark”.
Participating artists:
Angelos Antonopoulos, Marios Voutsinas, Mary Galani Kritikou, Georgia Damopoulou, Konstantinos Esslin, Lena Zefgaridou, Voula Karabatzaki, Kiriaki Mavrogiorgou, Chariton Bekiaris, Dimitris Polychroniadis, Dimitris Skourogiannis, Lila Sotiriou, Andreas Georgiadis.
